So you’d like to view someone’s photo album. You search for them, click on their name, only to find out that their profile is private. For one reason or another adding them as a friend is either not an option or will take to long. Well, you’d think you’re out of luck. Wrong.

Luckily for you there is a simple trick to get around this and view up to 40 pictures of them not including their profile picture.

First, you need to search for the person you want to see’s pictures on facebook. You can’t click on their name, so click on view friends. It should take you to the following link: http://www.facebook.com/friends/?id=[id-number]

Copy the [id-number] (It should be the series of numbers shown in the picture). This is the personal id for that person. It doesn’t change and is used for all of their profile pages.

Next you type in the following link in the address bar http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=12345678&op=1&view=all&subj=[id-number]&id=[id-number] replacing [id-number] with their actual id number. (shown in the picture below)

Note: Apparently facebook has fixed this bug. Unfortunately, it no longer works to view private facebook albums. Please take a look at the other articles on this site for more facebook hacks and tips.

You can’t get access to their account but you want to be able to view all the information as though you were their friend? Well, you can and it’s very simple. As long as you can see their friends, this can easily be done. This is a great trick to see friend details without the victim ever knowing that you can.

Step 1
Search for the person you want to add in facebook and you should get a box like this informing you that you need to add the person in order to view their private profile

Click on view friends and you should get a link like this:

http://www.facebook.com/friends.php?id=[id]

The id number is an acutal number, which is used by facebook to keep track of individual users. Remember this number because it will be used for the rest of the profile hack.

Step 3
After the question mark and before the id number add the following “lt=[category]&” where [category] is a 2 or 3 digit number, corresponding to the type of information that you would like to receive about the person.

Here is an example of what the facebook link will look like:

http://www.facebook.com/friends.php?lt=[category]&id=[id]

Replace the [category] with one of the following numbers:

1- Roomates
2- Coworkers
4- Group, club or teammate
8- University classmates
16- Summer/Abroad friends
32- Classmates
64- Travel buddies
128- Family members
256- Friends met through other friends
512- Friends on facebook
1024- Random friends
2048- Hookups
4096- Relationships

Therefore if you would like to see their hookups and their id is 69, you’d go to this link: http://www.facebook.com/friends.php?lt=2048&id=69

Have you ever see a community or a group and wanted to know who created the community and wanted to see his or her profile? Normally there is no way to do this, but here’s a nice little hack to get around this.

The first person in a community is the creator. Now you’re not supposed to be able tos earch for this person. But here’s how you get around this

If you go to your profile page you should get a link like this

http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=XXXXXXXXX&ref=profile

On that link is the id. The first few numbers of that id is the community id. So if you change the rest of the digits to zero, with the last one being a 1 you will get the creator of the group. So now you can find out who created the facebook group of your school, region or work place.
